Paula was the first openly trans-woman to graduate from the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. She has served as the Chair of the GLBTQ Issues Committee for the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and was a founding member of the Transgender Education Network of Texas. In addition to her work as a therapist for GLBTQ and questioning people, she is also a Kink Aware Professional and works extensively with the poly community.
